The All-New 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe: Bringing the Tennessee Family Everything That Luxury Brands Cannot!

An SUV is an excellent option in vehicles to accommodate the needs of your family, from their interior space to their versatility and safety features. Here at Twin City Hyundai, we have a new type of SUV that can help you and your family through any journey ahead in ways that many other SUVs cannot: the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. All-new and redesigned for this year, the Hyundai Santa Fe has just the right amount of necessities for a whole lot less, making it a very welcome addition to your family, if you so choose. Many other leading luxury brands can offer a fancy, high-class SUV with a lot of festive designs and gadgets, but these luxury SUVs are often lacking in a lot of important ways, such as safety, fuel efficiency, interior space and, above all, price. Here at Twin City Hyundai, we want to show you all that the new Hyundai Santa Fe can offer the more practical and realistic shopper such as yourself, so we took this mid-sized SUV and compared it against some leading luxury models, so you can judge for yourself if the Hyundai Santa Fe is right for you and your needs. Once you have finished reading through our comparison, and you are satisfied, come test drive a new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV right here at Twin City Hyundai! Our dealership is located at 3024 Alcoa Highway here in Alcoa, TN, just 17 minutes outside of Knoxville!

Hyundai Santa Fe vs Infinity QX60

We begin our head-to-head comparisons with the Audi QX60, one of the more well-known SUVs of the Infinity brand. While Infinity does have its following and loyal customer base, you will find that its SUVs might be lacking in a lot of important qualities, despite their often-higher sales prices.

  • When it comes to the starting price of both these mid-sized SUVs, the Hyundai Santa Fe gives you a bit more breathing room and starts out at $26,480 whereas the Infinity QX60 starts out at $44,995, a total difference of $18,515.
  • Not only does the Hyundai Santa Fe start out at a much less costly retail price, its available warranties keep the most important parts of your vehicle covered for a lot longer. Its Basic Warranty lasts for five years or 60,000 miles (whichever occurs first) and its Powertrain Warranty covers the engine and transmission components for 10 years or 100,000 miles. The Basic Warranty of the Infinity QX60 covers the vehicle for four years or 60,000 miles and its Powertrain Warranty lasts for six years or 70,000 miles.

Hyundai Santa Fe vs Lexus RX 350

Next up is the Lexus RX 350. Another powerful and stylish SUV, the Lexus RX 350 unfortunately does not make up for its sophistication with as much substance. If you are looking for a more practical model to save you money in the long run, you will find that the Hyundai Santa Fe is your best bet!

  • While their fuel capacities are pretty evenly matched, the Hyundai Santa Fe saves you a great deal more fuel in the long run and gains an EPA-estimated 22 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway. The Lexus RX 350 gains an EPA estimated 20 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway; if you are a frequent commuter from Pigeon Forge to Alcoa, you will see the difference that these capabilities make.
  • As with the Infinity QX60, the Lexus RX 350 has a much higher starting price of $44,465, which is a difference of $17,985 over the $26,480 starting price of the Hyundai Santa Fe. The warranties of the Lexus RX 350 cover this SUV for the same duration as the Infinity QX60, which last about half of the time of the warranties offered by Hyundai for the 2019 Santa Fe.

Hyundai Santa Fe vs Audi Q5

Finally, there is the Audi Q5, a powerful SUV from a powerful mainstay I thee luxury auto lineup. While Audi sedans and SUVs can be fun to drive, they do not contribute as much practicality where family-friendly reliability is concerned.

  • Both of these SUV models feature a great deal of interior space for their five-passenger capacity, however, the Hyundai Santa Fe gives you just the right amount cargo volume for the journey ahead, with up to 36 cubic feet of cargo volume, behind the second row alone! The Audi Q3 features about 26.8 cubic feet of cargo volume behind its second row, which is almost 10 cubic feet less cargo space than that of the Hyundai Santa Fe. This makes a big difference when taking on road trips to Sevierville or beyond.
  • Interestingly enough, while the Audi Q5 is a luxury SUV, it actually contains a lot less driver-assistive technology in its base trim level, despite its much higher starting price of $42,475. All trim levels of the Hyundai Santa Fe come standard with Front Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance System, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Assist. Many of these features, or their Audi-brand equivalents, are unavailable on base trim levels of the Audi Q5 and must be upgraded with a higher trim level.
